Applications have opened for previous exhibitors. If you are on our mailing list please check your inbox. We will open applications for new exhibitors in a few days so make sure to keep an eye on the website.
Following feedback from last year we have dropped the fee to €20 from €25. We hope this will help those who were not able to exhibit last year. The fee had stayed the same for many years and was raised last year in the hopes that people would only book one place each and they would only book if they really intended to show up on the day. We still encourage people to only book one spot per photographer, the spaces are larger than they seem and can fit many more photos if they are properly laid out. We want to have as many photographers on display as possible so anyone who books multiple spots may be moved to a spot lower down the Green than they would if they just booked 1 spot.

First of all sorry for the delays in getting updates here. Peoples Photography is organised every year by volunteers and this year we’ve all had kinds of chaos in our lives from weddings and education to work commitments and travel.
Secondly the event will go ahead as announced. Applications have not opened yet but we are just waiting for some final paperwork and then we’ll be ready to go. We will send out emails to previous exhibitors, they will have about 1 week to respond and then we’ll open it up to everyone. We’ll be checking the new PO Box more regularly so hopefully we’ll be able to confirm applications earlier than last year.
This years volunteers will also start checking emails and blog comments from now on, we may not be able to respond immediately but we’ll get back as soon as possible.
Please be patient and we’ll all have a great Peoples Photography 2011.

We have just confirmed that the 2011 People’s Photography exhibition will take place on took place this year on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th August 2011, from 10am to 6pm each day. The good news is this year we should be able to hold the exhibition as normal without interference from planned development works around the Green. In 2012 there may be extra limitations applied to us but for 2011 all should be ok so we hope to make this a big event and our most successful ever.
Applications will open to previous exhibitors soon and shortly after that we will open it up to new comers.
We will also be looking for some volunteers to help us with the organization and to secure the running of the event for years to come, more details will follow.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making Peoples Photography 2010 a success. We had a large gathering of photographers exhibiting a wide variety of styles and techniques, from beginner to professional, B&W to HDR, large prints to small postcards. The weather threatened to turn nasty on occasion but the sun came out and so did the crowds.
Peoples Photography would not be Peoples Photography without almost 200 photographers from all around Ireland (and the world) taking the time and effort to select, print and mount photographs, create their displays, talk to passers by, share tips and advice with other photographers and make the event a friendly and welcoming place for the public to spend a few hours on a late summers weekend. Thank you to everyone for taking part.
We would also like to thank the organisers this year, Kyle, Tadhg, Declan, Brian and Eddie who gave their free time to make sure this event went ahead as smoothly as possible.
Hopefully we will see you all in 2011. Dont forget to check the website regularly throughout the coming year for news and updates.

It has been brought to our attention that at least one exhibitor was handing out fliers promoting a company during the event. This goes against the clearly stated rules of the event and should not be done by any exhibitor. For future events this rule will be strongly enforced and any exhibitor handing out fliers will be asked to leave the exhibition. Fliers generate litter and create a nuisance for the Green and other exhibitors. It also appears that the person in question used our name and web address on his flier, this was not approved by us. The person in question has been spoken to and told to stop using our name and URL to promote his services.
Peoples Photography is a non-profit event. We were not sponsored by any organisation or company nor do we endorse any product or service that may have been advertised at the event. If you use services that wrongly claim to be linked to our event you do so entirely at your own risk. Please let us know if you encounter anyone promoting his or her services using our name.
