PEOPLES PHOTOGRAPHY 2011
Applications CLOSED!!!
We have reached our cut off point for applications so we are closing standard applications. We are still waiting for final forms from some groups and individuals but we know this and are keeping spaces for you.
Confirmation emails have been sent to the majority of people who applied. If you have only sent in your application in the last couple of days it may not have been processed yet and you should receive an email next week. If you have applied as part of a group the organizer of the group may have received the email.
For people who wish to exhibit and have missed out please email bookings@peoples-photography.com and we will try to fit you in on the day. There are always some spaces cancelled in the run up to the event and there are still spaces available on the South side but since people tend to not enjoy being on that side of the Green we try not to allocate those spaces in advance.
Hello,
When will I be able to submit an application for next year’s exhibit?
Thanks.
I’d like to have an idea of costs and general information about the event since I’m thinking to register as an exhibitor for the 2011 edition – Thank you
Hi! I’m an amateur photographer with nearly three years experience now in digital photography. I only found out about Peoples Photography last year through two photographer friends who took part. I’d be really interested in taking part in the 2011 exhibition, not just to showcase my work but to support the charities involved. I’ll be in touch again once you’ve opened the applications for newcomers. Congratulations to the organizers for creating such a brilliant opportunity for photographers and for such a good cause too!
Kind regards
Esther Moliné
Hi Kyle,
I have been looking forward to this years exhibition and its great to hear plans are underway. I missed last years event because of illness and was really hoping to exhibit this year. Do you think there will be many places available once the previous exhibitors have been notified?
If you could notify me as soon as its possible to apply I would be really grateful.
Many thanks
Stephen Sheridan
Hi there
If possible I would like to take part in peoples photography 2011. I took part in 2005/20
06 but it was probably under the name Niamh Kane, we shared a spot.
If you can give me a space this year I will be sharing it with Martina Malone, she also exhibited 2005/2006.
Is there a posibility we could have a slot?
Thanks
Jennifer Egan

Hi,
I would very much like the opportunity to exhibit this year. Could you please pass on the relevant details on how to apply as they are available.
Many thanks,
Steve.
I would be very interested in being allocated a space for this years exhibition and would be particularly keen on the side of the square which the Shelbourne Hotel is on. I am assuming that the prints may be offered for sale as is the case with the Peoples Art Exhibition. My images are in monochrome and my subject is music — mostly traditional irish. I look forward to hearing from you.
I would like to participate in the 2011 Exhibition.
Thank you
Hi, We were at the last 4 years exhibition but didn’t get any mail yet. We are checking your site weekly but there is not relevant news.
Please let us know about the aplications to register.
Regards,
Oihana Trojaola – TXIKI – Dunboyne Photo Group
Can you please forward me some information on how to register as a new exhibitor, every year for the past 4 years I have tried to register only to log onto the site within a couple days of the registration forms being released to find that the postions are all filled. I go to this exhibition every year and am dissapointed to find that there are so many blank spaces either not filled or people haven’t shown, and so many exhibitors are people I’ve seen exhibit there every year, often with the same material. It seems to be getting more and more difficult for new exhibitors to take part in this project which I think is a worthwhile exhibition that should encourage people to show their work. Well done on the exhibitions over the years but how about giving us new exhibitors a chance?
There are no entry requirements, we accept all photographers regardless of experience. If you feel your images are good enough to put on display this is a great way to get feedback and to learn from other photographers. No one involved in organizing the event will approve or reject the quality of your images beforehand. We want diversity and it would be a dull event if we only had a hand full of “high quality” professionals who meet certain “standards”.
Naturally there has to be some limits on what can be displayed in a public space and if your images are inappropriate you can be asked to take them down. This is a rule but people up to now have been sensible about what they put up and I personally have never had to ask anyone to take down an image and I do not remember any of the other organizers ever having to do so.
We always welcome new exhibitors. I’m sorry if the experience of some is that they cannot get into the exhibition but we do have to cut off the applications at some point when we get to the limits. If people who missed out on the official applications contact us we do try to allocate them spaces on the day once we know others have cancelled or not shown up.
